NEW! Monte Carlo Theatrical Trailer

Holy geezus! The Monte Carlo trailer is finally out! I embedded this from ClevverTV, but Selena Gomez posted it up first, FYI. Totally been lying in wait eagerly for this movie to be released, and it'll be - soon! July 1st is the date! The trailer pretty much tells all, but I'll give a short recap of the movie anyway.

The official movie poster! Unfortch, I only managed to get hold a really tiny sized picture (try 180 pixels width!) so I had to alter it to get it this big. I love the poster though!

Based on a book (released earlier than the Lizzie McGuire movie, so it is in no way copying the storyline of said movie!), it follows a newly graduated girl, Grace (played by Selena of course) who finally saved up enough for a trip to Paris with her future stepsister, Meg (Leighton Meester) and best friend, Emma (Katie Cassidy). There, Grace is mistaken for a spoiled British heiress named Cordelia (where we get to see for ourselves Selena's prowess for Brit accents - well, it's decent, at least) and the trio get caught up in a whirlwind of deceit, romance, the French paparazzi and Parisian luxury.

Anyway, here are some short tidbits about the movie (and the actors)!

• Cory Monteith from Glee stars in the movie as well, as Emma's (Cassidy) love interest! Brief scene of him in the trailer, unfortch!
• While the movie is based in Monte Carlo in Monaco, it was also shot in other neighbouring nations, like Paris, France and Budapest, Hungary! Selena shot her music video 'Round & Round' in Budapest while in the midst of shooting this movie too.
• Did you know Selena once hated Katie Cassidy in the past? She had a massive celebrity crush on Jesse McCartney and Katie had used to date him. What are the odds Sel's now co-stars with the person she hated in the past? Of course, she had already left that all behind, now being over Jesse and with the Biebs himself!
