First-Timer

I watched Annie the Musical on 26 July this year, so this is just another one of my usual long-overdue blog posts! Anyway, my mother bought the tickets for both of us to watch a few months before, but she forfeited her ticket to my aunt instead when she scheduled to go on a get-away to Indonesia with her pals instead.

My aunt has probably never watched a musical in her life, so this was her first. When the 'Overture' ended and Annie belted out a rendition of 'Maybe' and there were tons of children (playing the orphans) running around the stage, that's when my aunt leaned towards me and asked me in Mandarin, "Are those real people?" No need to exactly mention my really exasperated reply to that insightful question.

Anyway, Annie the Musical had some pretty heart-warming moments, so it was pretty nice overall! The little Singaporean children they hired as actors to play the orphans were precious, especially the tiny girl with the two ponytails at the side of her head (name's Molly, I think?).

Brought out my new Juicy Couture monogrammed bag to use for this occasion! So purdyyy!

My uncle fetched us after the musical and we headed for dinner/supper at the usual restaurant along Geylang Rd we usually patronise!

Abalone with broccoli!

Tried soaking my broccoli in hot water like what my aunt and uncle did to remove the abalone sauce (they're vegans!) and it really does work!

One of our usual pickings. My uncle dubs them 'Chinese French Fries' and the chilis tossed amidst the "fries" as 'bombs'. LOL.

On the ride home, we saw the hugest moon hanging from the sky! It was almost impossible to describe (so I have no idea how to describe it here anyway). Anyway, the moon in the above photo is the small white figure in the sky next to that orange luminating light from the streetlamps (i know, the irony).

Big Time Broke

It's amazing, the feeling you get when you bring out zero cash money while going shopping! I loved the feeling when you pay with a card! Mine is just a debit card, not a credit, mind you. Still, it felt pretty awesome.

Headed to town again, with Becky this time!

I watched her eat Wendy's, saw an Asian version of Darren Criss (he was even wearing a similar shirt to Blaine in Glee!) across from our table where we were sitting, and tried to take a photo of him without him noticing. 

I think he suspected we were laughing at him, unfortunately. Becky noticed him turning to look SHARPLY at us as we left Wendy's. The face even slightly resembled Darren Criss! Amazing.

We then went darting in and out of different Zara outlets (okay, just two) trying on jeans (just Bec, I tried on 2 really pink, but beautiful blazers to accompany hers truly), then to Kinokuniya! I signed up for a membership card again! But just for a year. Perhaps in 2 years, I mightn't even be here anymore! Thank heavens.

Anyway, I've bought a lot of stuff over the past few months, so that's probably why I'm so broke. *Sigh* Here are some photos I took of the stuff I bought each time I came home! (Apologies, this is a pretty boring post, I guess I've forgotten how to blog after so long!)

First Ship

Hurrah! Rejoicing on the inside (simply 'cos I've no idea how to do so on the outside)! My first online shopping shipment (a Juicy doggy charm for my bracelet!) finally came in after almost two weeks of waiting on Thursday! My mother ordered using ComGateway, but the shipping is all so expensive. It added up to 60++ even though the charm cost only 24.99!

My mother actually ordered a tote bag from Juicy too, but it was sold out when she ordered. Damn. So in the end, we proceeded with our shipment with just the charm. It'd be so much more worth it if we'd ordered a bit more then. 

Still, online shopping paves the way for a BRIGHTER FUTURE! Obvs, I'm exaggerating. But I'm ecstatic to order some more stuff online. Only I'd have to ask my mother for permission, seeing as she is in charge of the PayPal accounts (and pretty much my entire bank account). Fooey.

Anyway, today was IS day, so I had Life Sciences to go to. We had a field trip to the Science Centre (great, like I haven't been there a million times). It was actually better than I expected it to be (save the part I was loning, looking 'round at exhibits later). I got there a few minutes before 9A.M., but the teacher and the rest of the students arriving by bus were almost a half hour late! So I was just sitting by myself on a bench opposite Macdonald's. What a sad life, I know. 

When they all arrived, we headed straight to a lab in the centre. Free admission for us! A pretty young-looking girl were our teacher for that session, and we were required to sit in groups of 4 (some of the other students didn't), but I sat with my group anyway. There were only 4 other girls in the class (and 3 of 'em were already well acquainted), so lucky me.

Then, we proceeded with doing DNA experimenting using gel, a micropipette, and another equipment which I can't remember what it was called. It was actually pretty fun - reminded me of the chemistry days few years back. We were examining DNA using the colored stuff on the gel that was actually sugar-seaweed (but we weren't allowed to eat 'cos there were chemicals in it too). I touched the gel thing after the experiment ended and it srsly felt like jelly! The hard, wobbly kind. Coolios.

My pink collection! Got a Maybelline New York berry lip balm with SPF 20 at the supermarket and a pink ring file at the bookstore after school ended! Oh, how I've missed spending...

Yummers! Ice cream I had long ago but forgot to upload... Love the cup!

Cringe, Juicy!

Just a little short additional post before the clock strikes 12 Later. Had another badminton attachment (ugh!) and of course, we had to do warmups and running around the huge track. Thankfully we managed to escape that turmoil. Went to hide out in the loo nearby with Bectouille and two other girls from my class. It felt like a spy movie sneaking around trying not to get spotted by those on the track. We managed to join the class later without being discovered for evading the running! Since there were like more than 30 people in a same, small court, there wasn't much space to hit our shuttlecocks without hitting somebody in the head with the racket. Bec and I played for a bit, laughed at a particular plump person and the student leader of the badminton club, and went out for a breather (for a longer time). Time passed quickly enough... I left and went to get a pink lemonade flavored Snapple. Discovered my Juicy Couture wallet (worth $140!!) was missing! Went back up the stairs and met a girl from the class. Borrowed her phone to call my mother (even though I already had a phone in my bag - HEY I was panicking all right?!) and my mother went nearly into hysterics 'cos I might have to make a police report and I have NO WAY of getting home without any money or a card for the bus. Borrowed a few coins from the girl and her friends. Thanks, saints!! Ran back to the court afterwards - and panting, I asked that student leader whom Bec and I were laughing at for being so awkward and funny. Thank GOD. He had kept it for me all along. My cards, moolah (most importantly!!) and everything else were intact! PHEW. I suppose I'll never laugh at him again - I felt so mean afterwards. Cringe. And this was what my wallet looked like - sorry it's reversed. I took it with Photobooth, since my phone is under repair and apparently, ALL my contacts was deleted. Damn.
