Glee Cast
Twilight Cast

The Twilight saga and Glee has taken quite a few spots in the nominees list this year! Speaking of Twilight, just watched Eclipse a couple hours ago with Becky! It was rad - we got free tickets and managed to sneak some cheese fries and meltz into the theatre. They were screening the movie in a bigger and more spacious theatre this time! Thank God - we almost always got the lousy, dingy ones. The movie was about 2 hours and 10 minutes, but I suppose it felt longer than that. I ain't gonna give a full review of the movie here - simply 'cos I'm just too lazy to. But here's the lowdown, in case you have been living under a rock for the past couple of years, or you just haven't watched or read a single part of the Twilight franchise...
Apparently, Edward Cullen has decided best not to leave Bella alone again. There were many murders and unexplained disappearances in Seattle, where in fact, Victoria ( who's seeking revenge for her dead mate, James) was creating a newborn army of vampires (they're much stronger) to end the Cullen clan, inclusive of Bella. So it all boils down to a fight between the newborn vampires, and the Cullens and werewolves, since they put aside their animosity for each other to work together. In the midst of it all, Bella is forced to choose between her love for Edward (where she would have to MARRY him to be CHANGED) and her friendship with Jacob. So there were pretty much many kissing scenes and talking with too-long pauses and jealousy between Jake and Edward. Hilarious! Apparently, she graduates in the earlier part of the film. Yay!

This movie is most definitely BETTER than New Moon. However, I thought there was too much TIME WASTED since the talking scenes and all those emotions ran pretty slowly. They paused - A LOT. And KISSED -  a lot. Well, perhaps just between Bella, Ed and Jake that is. I wish they hadn't changed casting of VIctoria though. They had replaced Rachelle Lefevre (for reasons I cannot remember, dear Lord) with Bryce Howard Dallas. Thank God Victoria dies at the end so we won't be seeing any more of her. I loved Bree Tanner too (the one where it's made into an Eclipse novella!), she's one of the newborns, but not as willingly. It's too bad she almost could start a new life with the Cullens when Jana the Volturi a.k.a Dakota Fanning (love her!) went all: "The Volturi don't give second chances." And BOOM! Bree is gone. Also, there were too much action that is kinda too scary for me! Lots of decapitating of heads. It was too much for me. Then, close to the end, when Taylor was lying on his deathbed (no pun intended) with facial features all bronze-like and Bella was just standing by him and they were talking pretty long, Bec started laughing all of a sudden. Because of his NOSE. It was flaring and it looked just plain funny. So I started laughing alongside with her - quietly though! It was supposed to be a serious scene I'd bet, no way were the director or screenwriter or whatever intending to make that part HILARIOUS. All right, no more spoilers. I've typed long enough. Ciaoooo!! xx
