Truth about Reality

Cringe. I totally got my music teacher a paper clip instead of a stapler when she mentioned 'clip'. Still, how was I to know she wanted a stapler when she clearly said 'clip'?!
The real truth... Snowmen don't generally turn out the way like Frosty on the left.
Since we're on the topic of Christmas... adorable kitties decked in Santa gear!!
Damn reality.
I'm so going with this. Nobody ever reads the damn Terms of Service!
Watch the whole GIF through. It's worth the wait. Getting the right shower temperature every day is such a chore.

Kitty Buried in Marshmallows Sez Hai

How cute is that kitten below, waving at you with its cutesy paw whilst totally enveloped in marshmallows (Rocky Mountain, I hope)?
Another cat captioned photo! Can't get enough of 'em funny kittehs.

Thankfully Steve Jobs doesn't have a Tumblr - that's where this photo went public online. I may be a reformed Windows into Mac user, but this is hilarious!
Anyways, it's the final day of vaca and I'm so not feelin' up to going back to school. My heart is all a bundle of emotions - desperation, FMLs, mourning, grief, petrification... It ain't all good. So here's what I've to say about it...
I wish I could just sit in a chair like Bella Swan and it just goes 'round in circles till months pass... or until the days I get out of depression.

A Year Without Rain

Another new music video comin' up from Selena Gomez's new album!! I'm so psyched. It's titled 'A year Without Rain' BTW - I know I'm not really being original by using that for this title for the post... Hey I'm too exhausted to think of a fresh new title that fits this post!!

Anyways, check out the sneak peeks below she released just a day ago (and today!) of the music video! Her single - A Year Without Rain! But I'm pretty sure the whole video revolves around her walking and dancing around the seashore with a shawl - but the song seems really good.

Okay, the sneak peek was really short. I was expecting more, obvs. So you can see why I thought the entire, full-length, soon-to-come (Friday! Just tomorrow!!) music video would be probably the same scene throughout.

Anyways, some added comics and piecharts below! They're all plain hilarious! Double-click them if they are too small for ya.
ABOVE: The definition of LAZINESS explained fully here...

This is usually my worst fear when we have to get into groups. Ughh!

OMG this explains my life so well!! Well, back in the days anyway. I was always the one having to face the unsightly rears of teachers. Gah.

I'd go with the Pink box.

True that. Ice Ice Baby!! Yay Gleeeee!

Video-Editing Flop

Had my video editing test earlier yesterday morning (it got postponed for me twice!), and it was a total FLOP! For me, anyways. Of course, I had practiced for it waaaay beforehand (the truth, and nothing but the truth!) so I was feeling pretty confident (don't comment!) The test was supposed to be on a disc, so the teacher passed that around. I slid that into the drive, and I went importing the test file into Final Cut Express (still confidently). The video came out all laggy! I asked the teacher if it was supposed to be this way, he said yes.

Then, he wanted to collect back our discs. That just made the 'media offline'. So once again, I asked for HELP. And believe me, I definitely do nOT like asking for aid! Turned out, I had to transfer the test file to my desktop, which I did not do, obvs. It took close to ten minutes (possibly less) just WAITING for the stupid file to get crossed over to the desktop. The test was supposed to only last 50 minutes. That left me approximately less than 35 minutes. Harsh.

The test file only consisted of several music tracks and one long clip about 3 minutes. This one wasn't laggy at all. Golly. Still, better than nuthin' right?

I took a pretty long time cutting the clips (and wasted some trying to figure out how to make subclips to put into the 'Dailies' bin. The scenes were all shot in different ways and some were all over the place. So THAT took quite some time too. I had to include the music tracks into suitable parts of the finished cut too! I only had less than 10 MINUTES to choose and add tracks! God. Of course, I didn't finish putting in as much music as I wanted and my 'Dailies' bin remained blank.

It's so unfAir the teacher did not give me extra time. But at least he went through my clip first. Probably 'cos he felt sorry for me, and my probably less-than-average grades for this test. I could have sworn I saw him shoot piteous looks my way. Gah.

Anyway, he circled some numbers in the rubrics and said I coulda done better, with the editing and stuff. That's a given... if only I had MORE time to finish this!! The teacher said I might be getting a C. Great. Another C. I'm possibly the most average girl you'd ever see anywhere. I'm so done with being average!

Anyways, enough with the video-editing talk. It's pissing me off! Below's a pretty cute and innovative song, possibly about Facebook! It's a Rocky & Balls creation, sung by 2 comedic Englander-songtresses Check out their official site and some other music tracks of theirs here!

Another hilarious piechart that oozes nothing but the truth!
Looooove this one!

SITE FEATURE: Piecharts!

All right, I just found the most awesomest, hilarious site ever! This particular site is sort of a tie-in with icanhascheezburger. They actually have lots of sites connected to the whole network too. So here's the URL: GraphJam! Check out some piecharts examples that I'd taken from the site! Most are pretty genius!

This one's my fave!

Final Flash!

Anyways, today was our final day of flash lessons - meaning no more web graphics stuff in the near future!! Thank goodness. I was nearly up in my head, struggling for air. Okay, probably an exaggeration, but whatevs. We incorporated Flash into Adobe Dreamweaver and whatnot. I was following along fine at first (the teacher asked if I was crying when I was CLEARLY rubbing my eyeballs out from overexhaustion) and then close to the end - alas, I couldn't follow up with the content. Gah this always happen! That's life for you.
OMG I sooo fall under that red and blue category, for the most part. I feel ashamed for myself...
This totally appealed to me. Look at the giraffe's single leg lifted. Just look at it.
This was taken from some early premiere of Selena's first new onscreen flick - Ramona and Beezus! Can't wait to see this! Joey King's a total cutie.

DIY: Book Rings and Day of the Bad Techs

This has been the most horrible, bad tech day scare ever in a long time for me (aside from when my hamster, Mochi might have to go through euthanasia at the vet's. Read here for more deets about that!) It's been a bad techie scare day - first, my fave G-CUBE USB mouse (a pink, plaid one) spoilt after I'd dropped it only ONCE, and the rubber had peeled off to reveal the wires underneath. Then, after my music lesson, I found out my cellphone had turned off on its own and the screen wouldn't budge. It couldn't turn on, no matter how long and hard I pressed the 'on' button. Bummer, I hadn't transferred any of my contacts into the SIM card, so I'm left with nothing now, except my mother's REALLY OLD and REALLY CHEAP (think less than 50 bucks) LG phone with bad color screen resolution and just the basic features - just CALL, MESSAGE, CAMERA and SETTINGS. Hopefully my phone's all right when it gets sent to the phone maintenance people. I can't do without QWERTY keyboards. Precisely why I love Sidekicks. Next, my Macbook Pro froze on me. It was stuck at the SLEEP mode - where they ask for my password, and the cursor doesn't move at all, so I couldn't exactly type in my pw to get through that phase. Ugh! I couldn't even turn off the power as hard as I tried. How unfortch was I?! Then, after I came back from eating, turns out my brother had it back to normal. Miracle. I couldn't even turn it off when I pressed the button for long. Somehow, my brother did. Oh well. He's always been a tech genius, as much as I hate to admit it. No matter how many times my 'rents try to block the computer with parental controls and all, he does something to make it work. They gave up after awhile, of course. So now, he plays the desktop everyday. I suppose that's the only thing he's good at. Bah. All right, I bet you'd be thinking exactly like the caption below - I know I've talked enough. So below are a couple of more random pictures.

Book rings are so edgy! DIY here! You can create one too. Look at the picture below to find out how to make your own tiny book. (Make sure your book doesn't get too heavy!) Then get some strong glue and a ring (preferably a simple, bare one without gems and all that) and glue the book to the ring! Remember to wait for it to dry completely! And Voilà! Instant book ring!

One of my favourite lines of all time, from The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold!
