Sketching Life

The photos below totally shows drawing versus photography! Rad stuff there. Period. I've no idea who drew this, so I can't exactly credit the source (damn learning about all this stuff at school seriously made me think about crediting half the time! Annoying much?) Scroll through the many photos and be simply ah-mazed!

Upon closer inspection (that line sounded like what some food inspector or something would say), there're watermarks on some photos, with the creator's name. Ben Heine. I searched him up on Google (hey, I'm a tad too free!) and he has his own website. So he's def legit in my book! This is his site!

Saturday Blues

Pretty boring day today, all in all. Stayed home the entire day playing computer games, and getting some homework done. Damn haven't even started reading the Psychology textbook. Bother. Anyway, ain't gonna ramble on about my drag day no more. Some random photos below I found on Tumblr! If they happen to be yours and you'd like some form of credit or would like for it to be removed from this blog, contact moi.
 Sooo artistic.
OMG this tiny kitteh is totally palm-sized! Eeeeeeeeeee!
The panda gummi rocks all kinds of awesome.

Day Eight - Favorite Animated Character

Hurrah it's finally a Saturday -- and Day 8 of my 30-day Drawing Challenge! My favorite animated character of all time is definitely Bugs Bunny! Check out the "uncanny resemblance" of my sketch of Bugs!
It doesn't really look like at all. Pooh.
After my music lesson (It completely slipped my mind my teacher changed it to Saturday so I winded up not being prepped with the left-hand part for the piece and all - though I never really get the left-hand parts for any pieces down pat), my mother and aunt and uncle picked me up (and then my aunt's friend) and we headed to the central business district area! They went into a beauty store and I hung around at the entrance playing Oven Break on the iPad.

They took some time buying their beauty products, but we finally left the place and headed for town! We got lunch at a soup place - I got mushroom stroganoff! Yummers. Not before I got my beautiful macarons at Canele though! They were pretty expensive - 2 bucks fifty each - I got a box of 6! But I'm definitely gonna try going to France and get a taste of their macarons! They've probably got the most expensive and exquisite ones the world over!
We wove in and out of shops like kate spade (my aunt's friend got a handbag from there - and I'm totally in love with the red trenchcoat and leather gloves in there!), Mango, Esprit. Only managed to get a 29 bucks shirt from Mango (the saleswoman thought I was eleven or thirteen.. actual age=18!) and black swimming skorts from a departmental store! Couldn't find a swimming top suitable for me - no way am I wearing one that actually reveals. Sure, so what if I'm conservative? *getting defensive*

All right, I've def blogged enough for one day. I'm really getting sick of this whole blogging-daily promise - I can't keep up any longer. I know I've gone for quite a few months now (close to a year!) - but really, I ain't a patient person all that much. Ciao! xx

Day Seven - Favorite Movie

All right, so I carried on with this 30-day drawing challenge thingy even though I'd been complaining about all the work following up to this challenge in the previous few posts! Perhaps I'll stop at day 8. I'm far too lazy to go on with this.

My favorite movie is definitely Hotel for Dogs! Drawing the movie poster is too much of a hard work, so I'll just draw some characters in it (like Andie, played by Emma Roberts! Or the dogs).
Friday was the cutest dog I'd ever seen in the movie! But I made it look like an old geezer...
Anyways, it was a pretty unnerving day at school today. We had to read out our assignment on radio station thoughts, record a one-minute capsule on Akon and do some vox-poppin' (meaning short interviewing strangers, or known as 'voice of the people'!) for radio. And then, for Speech Communication, we had to read out the speech - anything about ourselves - for two minutes! I wrote about animal cruelty. It's truly a sad thing really - that people throw puppies into rivers, stomp on kittens or shoot koala bears for no reason at all. What has the world come to?

Day Six - Favorite Book

Gosh this is progressing too slowly for my taste - I might just drop this whole drawing challenge thingy. Anyways, day 6 for the 30-day drawing challenge! My favorite book (or book series, more like) of all time is definitely Harry Potter! I'm so excited to watch Part I of the Deathly Hallows! Wish I could have been at the premiere that night. Anyways, this is my feeble attempt trying to duplicate a manga version of Harry Potter and his two friends (Ron and Hermione of course!)... (My drawing of Harry particularly made him look like a total crackpot.) And it beats me why Harry turned out the smallest too. haha.
I noticed I made Harry Potter look like the sullen one among the pretty happy Ron and Hermione
The inspiration photo of the manga versions of Harry Potter and friends.
We had to do a scavenger hunt of sorts for Psychology today. I absolutely hate doing stuff like that, especially when you've got to go up to people (particularly this part - or anything activities which require confronting strangers to get your job done) to ask them for their timetables or to take a photo of their tees. My group came in last though - since we left the room last. We had to finish an IQ test or something like that before we embarked on our hunt. There were questions like 'what's the missing number' or 'which of the following is not a boy's name'. Lol.

Day Five - Best Friend

On to Day Five of the 30-day Drawing Challenge! Even though it's only the fifth day, I'm already sick of this. I might just abandon this whole thing! Anyways, I'm supposed to draw my best friend (they didn't make any restriction indications so my best friend(s) are Mochi and Pudding! They're my dead hamsters - not that I still communicate with them or anything, except by prayer, perhaps! I still miss them dreadfully.
I know it's pretty impractical to not draw a human as a best friend - still, it's hard to draw humans for me! And who says hamsters can't be your best friend?
Drew Pudding with the Paintbrush application again! I'm seriously too lazy to pick up a pencil and draw. Gah. Took inspiration from the photo of Pudding and a rather odd imitation has evolved!
Sketched Mochi (it doesn't really look like her, more like a porcupine darn it. But this was supposed to show Mochi scratching herself), but that doesn't mean I'd put in lesser amount of time for her than I had for Pudding! I love them both equally to bits. Goshers, I'm talking as though they are still alive, God forbid.
Anyways, had a really short day at school day! Thank goodness. It was just a 2-hour lecture for Social Psychology! Problem is, I forgot to save the second half of the lecture notes when it was time to leave (I was obvs too ecstatic to get home and get on with Sims 3) so bummer!

Day Three - Favorite Food

Before I start rambling about the boring stuff that's been going on in my life, here's Day 3 of my 30-day Drawing Challenge! So below's another hand drawn (mouse-drawn really) picture of my favourite food - macarons! Yummers, they're the sweetest things you can ever have for dessert, or tea for that matter! I used a Paintbrush application software on my Mac to draw it out! This was the best I could do, god darn it
Anyways, for class today, we had a museum field trip instead. Of course, there was a catch - a graded presentation on the 22th of November! Darn.

Been to that museum during another school field trip years ago. Today wasn't any better than then. It would have been just a li'l fun if we didn't have to find artifacts pertaining to traditions and modernity (my group chose 'Power and Status'!) I was scribbling away in my notebook in bad lighting for the most part. Damn this.

Headed to Billy Bombers for lunch with a bunch of my classmates. Retro red seats they have there - totally old school drive-thru diners style! Plus we were the only crew patroning at the restaurant at that time! I ordered a Dr. Pepper and nachos with jalapeno sauce and  chicken and cheese! Yummy stuff!

Managed to get a ride back to school in time for Spanish class too! We learnt all about español numeros today. Let me try recalling one to ten... uno, dos, tres (okay, this part is easy), cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diez! I'm liking Spanish more and more each week, gah.

On the downside, there was an irritating & insensitive addition to our class today. That person asked me if I knew some names he brought up when I told what course I was in (biggest mistake of my life), and I said I didn't know them, he asked if I was sure I was in that course and claimed I was "quiet". For God's sake. What a complete prune. There was no possible way I'd know the entire population taking my course. I turned away and rolled my eyes (obvs).
Annoying, and rude. Goshers today's just not my day (since when is it ever?)

Day Two - Favorite Animal

Today's Day 2 for my 30-day drawing challenge! I was a tad lazy to draw... not when I'd saved my sketch back from Art class when I was 15! It's apparently a poodle. Not exactly my favorite species of dogs, but they're all right!
Changed the color from the photo below - vast difference, no?
Landscape view!
Darn it, it's the final day of the weekends yet again. Needless to say, I'm so not prepared for another boring week at school!
